Introducing the Sunlight Autonomy

Advancing daylight metrics and standards:

Two decades after the first annual daylight metric, the Daylight Autonomy (DA), a significant leap forward into remedying the limitations of solar access ordinances and standards with the SA. The future of daylight provision in cities and buildings may well involve an integrated approach: leveraging the SA from an early planning stage, to maximize daylight potential, followed by or in tandem with DA assessment to ensure proper regulation and distribution of daylight within interiors via architectural elements and daylighting systems.
