#whitehouse #tirana #postmodernism #kitsch #canada #igloo #mcdonald #postmodern 1 The White House. 2 Igloo - vernacular architecture of Inuit people and "Snow House" and since it is in Canada it becomes metaphorically the "Canadian White House". 3 Prime Minister's Office in Tirana, after its renovation is the most suitable equivalent to the White House for Albania. It can reflect something that has happened in the built environment in Albania. "Informal settlements" or "building with no permit" that does not respect urban plans, laws, principles of conservation and restoration in Architecture e.g. reversible/resilient intervention. The building features a new postmodern entrance, following the lessons of Robert Venturi in his famous book "Learning from Las Vegas".

A type of intervention tha aims to attract attention like the entrance of a casino or cinema or a McDonald like in the picture below.

Does it consider the truth, alienation, laws & regulations, context and content? For a Casino or economic activity and interaction with the street this is a choice in line with its purpose to attract people.

Is it acceptable or necessary this type of intervention in the case of a monumental architecture of a public institution?
