Addressing the information gap for the reuse of concrete

A new paper was presented at the eCAADe 2023 conference, with theme Digital Design Reconsidered, at TU Graz. We developed digital guidelines for modelling and sharing precast concrete elements accross CAD/BIM platforms. This study expands the Level of Information Needs EN 17412 standard´s scope for reuse in a Circular Economy. Additionally, the paper provides also a comparison accross criteria based on the standard for two common CAD and BIM tools, Rhino and Revit. The various modelling strategies for precast concrete in Revit can be seen in the picture (Figure 4 in the paper).
